"Sugar Donut"

We knew the first thing Bing would do at Gull Lake was to get into the water. I also knew, that he would be dirty and full of burrs.

BUT..... This I didn't anticipate!!

This falls under the category of "No one ever told us about the sand bath!"

Last full day

It is our last full day at Gull.

Things that have happened:
Connie and I have been to Ernie's for bloody mary's 2 times.
I had part of a day to myself yesterday while the group went mini golfing.
Went to a neat swimming place called squaw point.
Watched the kids play baseball.
Fished some.
Took a lot of pictures.
ITCHED A LOT of SCRATCHES!!
And Lost my voice.

Soon there will be photos of our trip.

Gull Lake Update

Well It has been 42 hours at Gull Lake. I am unable to download photos from here, so that will have to wait. Here is the re cap so far.

Left at 2:30 - Nala our cat was not interested in showing up, so we needed to call our zoo sitter Marsha to come an let her in later, so we could finally leave.

2:40 - Are we there yet? came from the back of the van from our 5 year old

3:15 - McDonald's stop.

4:00 - Bathroom stop

5:45 - Gull Lake

5:55 - All the kids and Bing are swimming. Bing is in the water WAY past his head, and he snorts like a piglet as he swims

The unexpected - Bing comes out of the water and rolls in the sand over and over again. He looks like a sugar donut.
- C and D get small red dots all over their body.....Swimmers Itch!!
-Had to make scrambled eggs and toast for the father in law on Sunday morning, oh, and coffee, oh and clean up his dishes, in their cabin, not ours.
-S gets swimmers itch
-Get an invite for bacon and french toast by the father in law, while I ( and the entire family) am still in bed. He apparently needed some more eggs too.

I am now doing my first load of laundry. We have had a very full almost 2 days. So far so good?? K~

Done

I have been working on a book about our family Sweden Genealogy for....well....for forever!!!! My dad liked this painting of a clipper ship. The title of his book is Waves, Ports and Clipper ships. So I set out to do a simple rendition of the painting. I finished yesterday. I have not done anything like this in a very long time. I traced the ship and then colored over the tracing and added black ink for detail. Kind of highschoolish, but I was pleased with the outcome. It could be, that I am just pleased that it is done!

TOO MUCH GOING ON!!

I am, yet again, overwhelmed!

I need to pull back, but how, when everyone has things goin' on!

I am going to go to my happy place this afternoon.

And if I can't sit still there, I am just going to bed!!
