buried under dirty laundry

We are back from the woods!!
We arrived at 2 AM this morning.
I have been buried under a pile of laundry,
however,
it is better than doing the laundry in the lake on a rock
and 3 times in the lake hanging over the houseboat!!
One photo I did not get!

We did the Football draft for this year and now,

I am doing laundry again,
3 baskets, 3 comforters, 4 sleeping bags are still in the car!
So, I hope to be back on the bloggen trail soon.

All that stands between me and him..... a 6' net.

I had to hold it out so he could continually snap at it (and not me) while, one handed, I removed 3 pounds of dead fish from his pool, drain the pool, spray out his area, tip the pool, spray some more, fill the pool and put the 3 pounds of dead fish back.

And to think last week, I was thinking the gulls and green heron were intimidating.

God is reminding me that being selfless is a gift that is extremely special to others. I have been selfless, and although it comes with tension headaches and exhaustion, it is a very comforting state to be in. Thank you God for showing me this in the moment and not after. K~

Here's the story

Uncle Mike took the 3 kids to Valley fair for their birthday's. They had a BLAST, by the way. Uncle Mike and Father Rick were doing some kind of non communicating in the parking lot, Mike drove off, the camera fell (along with the suntan lotion and something else, the car kind of hit or rolled over the camera, camera works, but does not take photos. Rick: "I'm not buying a new one, you (me) can wait!" Me: " Oh yes I am! Tomorrow!" I got a very nice camera on sale at the W store. It is like my old one and very compatible. Rick and I are speaking again.

We, me, are frantically cleaning and sanitising for my folks to come into town Saturday evening. The salt water tank got a new home and so did Ramses. It was Huge and FREE!! YEAH. He thinks he is super cool now.

one way or another i'm gunna to git ya!

I started the night out learning how to care for a baby opossum. kind of not even cute when they are young.
Then I cleaned the flight room. There were a lot of baby and juvenile barn swallows in one of the sections. I had to save a few from getting too wet. They were so cute.

Lastly, be careful with what you become good at. I had to help clean the snapping turtles again. ie.... i got to lift all 8 of them (one at a time, of course)! I tell you, some are very feisty. As much as most of them tried, the face didn't get me but the claw did! I have a nice scratch across my right hand. It's getting a bit puffy this morning. I would show you, but ALAS, my camera was broken yesterday during a day with Rick and the kids at Valley fair. :-( no photos for today!!!

I've fallen and I can't get up

I fell into a yarn obsession and I can't (or maybe I don't want) to get up. Every time I am extremely stressed, I get into an obsession. Usually it focuses around color. Beta fish, floss, clay, flowers, yarn....... I do see a pattern. This time it is yarn. I just love it and I keep just picking up a skein or 12 here and there. I have to stop due to not having ANY money to support this new obsession. But for now, I just sit in my yarn heap, LITERALLY, and contemplate the marvelous things I won't get around to creating. K~
