"Are you an artist?"

I had an odd experience on Thursday.  I was teaching an enrichment class at my kids school.  My topic this quarter is Tangles.  Because I am not certified, I am just teaching basic drawing techniques along with some patterns.  Anyways, as I am talking and explaining how it is easy to add onto ones doodles and make mere doodling more of an art expression, one student asked if I was an artist.  Hmmm.  That somehow, became very hard for me to answer.  I didn't know what to say.  Luckily Sam was in my class and he had no problem clearing things up for me.  I don't even remember what he said, exactly, but I really had a hard time answering.  

So what should I say?  Yes.  I am an artist.  K~
