Hmmmmmm

Ok, so I am not really an X-men fan. I have never seen one. I just seem to be glued to the posters and screen every time I see them. Then tonight, it dawned on me.......

ok, so I have a new boyfriend, and he looks a lot like my old one. Hmmmm.

For those of you who are like me and had to google X-Man then find X-Men and then look up who he was by the cast list, his name is Hugh Jackman :-) and my other long time honey is Clint Eastwood.

oh and for Bob..... 'nough said:-)!!!!

happy Tuesday

I absolutely LOVE my kids. I think for the most part they are good kids. But how come I HATE the bedtime routine and the morning before school routine with every fiber of my being. I yell more in that collective hour than the entire day combined. If I say get dressed one more time, I am going to put it on my grave stone. If I say get inTO BEDDDD! one more time I may need to add that too. Along with LEAVE THE DOG ALOOOONNEEE!!! DO NOT scream like that inside this house, or You better have no arms after that outburst scream!! Oh, I could go on, but alas, I need to go yell at the kids to finish getting dressed or you'll miss the bus; which they of course never have missed the bus.

Then there is Rick. Who is sicker than a dog but still at work. Sniffing and snorting. He gave C a bowl of fruit this morning, and took a bite of it on the way to her. He was going to give her his fork!!!!!!! I tell ya.

Tissue Box 2

I liked the colors of this tissue box. I decided that I needed to use it as my inspiration piece for my next square.

I wanted the colors to be a bit bolder. The scan does not due it justice. The colors due match quite nicely.
I am having a problem figuring out what to call my Thread paintings. Perhaps, just Thread paintings?? I also don't know what to do with them. I have for now, just put them in a shadow box to protect them. I may just leave them as art and do nothing with them other than look at them. Any ideas??? K~

Not a happy kitty

April and it is snowing. I think I have given up on spring fever. Not to happy about the snow, but at least it is pretty. It is my favorite kind, sticky and melty. Nala went out and I know what she was thinking "What the hell is this!!" She was verbally crabby with me, as she has been all winter and every winter so far. She wants me to "Fix" the outdoors. All I can do is sympathize. K~

Getting ready for our family airplane ride

We are taking the kids on an airplane ride for Spring Break.

Destination....Chicago.

I am mostly packed and we are gearing up to go. The kids are in bed and Bing is at Grandmas. Snacks are packed and the double check list is made for tomorrow. We are only going to be there for 2 nights and one full day. Coming back on Friday afternoon. We hope to see the Museum of Science and Industry and eat pizza with a friend of mine on Thursday. She and her kids took the train out this morning. K~

2 Virginia Opossum - totally hissed at me! one tried to bite me when I was trying to get his food dish. Luckly I was wearing a heavy leather glove. 2 Eastern Cottontails

15 meal worms hand fed with a clamp (like above) and a thick gloved hand.

PER BAT! = about 210 meal worms fed. 400+ meal worms counted, 200+ replaced. Sheesh! It was a long night. I also needed to clean their cage, wipe down their cage, and give them a drink of water with a small syringe.

I was the only one Rabies vaccinated so, it was up to me. I find the power of those little little jaws a bit intimidating. The noise of them chewing a bit eerie, and over all the process to need a bit of patients.

It is rewarding to finish it all up in about 2 1/2 hours.

I have to say. I really enjoy a thankless job. Most of the animals are very crabby at me. They just want to go home. I can understand that.

Dealing with uncooperative coworkers

So apparently I am needing to hire a more cooperative and not so cuddly coworker. It seems Bing likes to sit on my lap and snuggle right at the time that I am needing to type and use my lap top. Then, today, he decided to "help" me out by blocking my use of the mouse and being able to see the screen. K~

I have a little bit of the sun in front of me. I was happy to bring home one of my favorite new plants. I have also planted a new sensitive plant. Hopefully the seeds will take and I will get another one of my favorite plants back. K~

So S is sitting there playing a recorder in the TV room. I said "S, don't play that here anymore, we can't hear." He toots it again and states that it was an accident. So when he did it again. I said " Do not put that in your mouth again." Moments later he started to play it with his nose. sigh. K~

Well it's that time of year again. The slow prepping for spring. First the dog. I just LOVE him fuzzy! I was so sad to bring him in on Wednesday. He is just so cuddly and not so slick pig like.
On the other hand, he is so shiny and clean. And not so stinky. K~

mess sweet mess

So on Saturday, I am home in my mess sweet mess. I said to Rick, "You have to help clean this up." And I swear his retort was " I didn't do it!!" which I responded "well neither did I" I could not believe it!! He actually said that. I guess I was away for a bit too long. We laughed at that for a while. He went to work, and I cleaned up the counter until it shined. Now, I can't see the counter surface. Oh well. K~
