Ouch

Ok, I know they don't like me, But seriously, I was a chew toy last night. I kept getting nibbled, poked and snuck up on by the feisty little cormorant. He would sneak up behind me and bite my leg. His sharp little beak would go right through my jeans, like a knife through butter. I was talking to him like a dog by the time I was done with that room. Stay!!
Then I got bit, no blood thank goodness, by a opossum. Yes those top dagger teeth are sharp. Went right through leather work gloves. I felt bad for him. He was quite injured and I am sure he was in a lot of pain. Pain, that he wanted to share with me I guess. Just a bit bruised and sore today. no biggie. I was charged by another opossum shortly after that incident. Sheesh!

need the vitamin D

Winter is still here. I took these beautiful pictures a few weeks ago. It looks pretty much the same out there this morning. I do like the sun though. It helps me with my vitamin D that I am desperately low on. Tired today. I have been working hard for several days and I think it may be time for a nap with the dog. K~

I

I just finished this this weekend. I have called it "I" for a lack of a better name.
My inspiration was movement and color. K~

I found a hint of the past me

I posted this thought on facebook. "while going through some travel souvenir's i discovered something wonderful. i was once organized, careful, and took my time to prepare. all were labeled, neatly, and safely wrapped. it was like going through an archaeological dig and discovering another human society. except, the human was me." I was so surprised at what I say when I opened those boxes. I have hazy memories of being neat, thorough, cautious, picky. They are so far buried, that I don't even know how to get back to them. At least, I have evidence in my college art projects, and my resume, and my packing, that I was once a competent hit the ground running/at least upright.

I have been in my new no nest morning routine for 17 days now. I am loving it and it has made a world of difference in my home and my brain. I hope to make it to day 21, because, "they" say it doesn't become a habit until you do it 21 times.

Why sleep at night!

Well what a night. I don't think I slept a wink. I woke up at 1:30 to a loud cat. I swore I just went to bed at 1:30 but I obviously didn't, I think it was 12:30, when my book hit the floor, and woke me up. Then I woke up and it felt like I was in some kind of accident. My arms were very painful, that was about 2ish. Then I was awakened by Rick because I was having a nightmare, that was 3:30ish. Then I woke up at 6:30am with Rick's alarm. Finally I was awakened at 7:00 by "Kirsten, I'm going to work soon." and got up. Why do I even bother! K~
