I'm tierd...

I'm tired.
Have you ever just wanted to just lay down where you are and nap.
Nap until you wake up?

How about going to sleep when you are tired.
Get up when you wake up. Some time say, after 9 am.

How about doze in a chair. Feet up and a cozy blanket on.
Maybe a nap at 2 pm, cuz you can.
How about nod off during a meeting. Even if you're leading it.

Maybe even just pulling of into a gas station and putting the seat back. Before you know it you wake up refreshed and a little drooly.

Maybe in a coffee shop, put your head down and just close your eyes.

How about instead of raking and putting the leaves in a bag or compost, just pile them up and fall asleep right then and there.
AAAAHHHHHH.

What Have I Been Up to??

Here is a knitted afghan I have been working on. I am on the 4th strip. It is alot of fun. The strips on the left and right, are color themes, and the one in the center, is my left over yarn. I have enjoyed this project a lot.

Remember when?

I remember when I was young. I watched " I dream of genii" I used to wish that I was a gene. That I could blink and all would be better. That all my chores, homework, problems would be finished and gone. I have not moved on much from those years I was 10. Now, I wish I was an air, earth, water, or fire bender. Yes I am hooked on "Avatar, the last airbender" I say to the kids. I tried to airbend that to you, but couldn't get it to move. Or I tried to airbend firebend some supper, but couldn't get a spark. If you don't know about this program, you don't have a 7 and 9 year old. However, it is well done. It is based on an actual ancient art, and reminds me of star wars. I am hard pressed for mental release. But, I enjoy it.

I have been running around with the kids and life. I have become the new CEO and CFO of Walsh manor. I have a lot of work ahead of me. I have slowly been working on the organization of the manor, for about 5 months now. Now I apparently promoted myself to CEO. The CFO came as a necessity for the need of our family finances or lack there of. So, I have been plugging away on spread sheets and lists, bank statements and receipts.

I have also been keeping up with homework and tutor schedules. Emailing teachers, going to school each morning for an hour and one morning for 3 hours. I have ECFE at nights, what a joy!!

Then in my spare time, I have been the Parent Advisory Council Chair person. This comes with a higher price then anticipated this year. Re organizations have made consistency a rare thing in that organization.

I do like crafting and reading, but frankly don't get much of that done. It is hard to do that with my eyes closed.

What's in a day?

Ahh my little Puff. See how his beard is black, even he is stressed. The poor thing.

What's in a day?

It is just one of those moments of contimplation for me. I find that I want, want, want. That if I have that, I want this. If I have one, I want two. I just can't seem to slow down enough to remain content.

I have been thinking about what changes are taking place in my life. I realize that for the last few days, I have been trying to beat the clock. I know that if I slow down, I will get barried by the bulldozer of life charging up behind me. I will have to spend time digging and struggling out of the pile.

How do I take the time to be reflective, if I see in the reflection, the pile of "stuff" charging behind me.

It makes me anxious.
It makes me tense.
It makes me incontent.
It makes me procrastinate.
It makes me late.
It makes me edgy.
It makes me long for quite.

I feel if I pause, I will be forced to either stop, or rev up my engines. Neither of which, I want.

What is my Pirate name??

My pirate name is:
Mad Morgan Cash

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You're musical, and you've got a certain style if not flair. You'll do just fine. Arr!

Hilarious??

You Should Be a Joke Writer
You're totally hilarious, and you can find the humor in any situation.Whether you're spouting off zingers, comebacks, or jokes about life...You usually can keep a crowd laughing, and you have plenty of material. You have the makings of a great comedian - or comedic writer.
What Type of Writer Should You Be?http://www.blogthings.com/whattypeofwritershouldyoubequiz/

From this quiz, How do they know I am hilarious, I could be crazy, or full of myself, or all of the above. But, it's nice to know that someone thinks I am funny!

ANYWAY................. I find life and people interesting. I find small simple comments or answers curious. I like to delve into topics that seem ordinary and plane. I know, that not, all are just what they seem. Some are.

I enjoy the art of conversation and the art of disfunctional conversation. Like any art, I am far from mastering either. I do, however, have more of a handle on the disfunctional conversation.

He's so d*** cute!!

Here's Harper. This is an adorable sweet and huge dog of my friends in Seattle. I got this cute bunny at Good Will for him. It was around Easter. He really likes stuffties as you can see. I just love him and miss him very very much. 70+lbs of true love!! K~

A week of TEARS and HIVES!!

I have had a week of Tears and Hives!! My kids are a mess. D is the only one doing relatively good. S is doing ok. He is thinking he is done with school now. Sorry baby, try 13 more years! C...... she got hives on Sunday and has been off school since Tuesday. I think she might be allergic to 4th grade. She cries all day because she can't do her homework. She can't read. She can't do her math. AAAAHHHH!! I have been battling all day. I hope things change a little, or a lot. K~

Snug as a lizard in a blanket??

Here is sweet Puff. He loves to sleep in this blanket and be covered up. He lays there for hours - 6 to be exact. He likes to be out all day if he can. Yesterday he watched "The View" for a while. His choice NOT mine. What a SWEET HEART!! K~

She didn't order that!

Well S was off to school this morning for the first time and is back from school already. 3 hours go quick. Every morning this week when he has come home, he has taken off his cloths, "because I'm sweatin' hot" and goes around the house nude. Interesting.

Rick and I ate breakfast this morning. We lingered over coffee. I ordered pancakes with my breakfast. When they didn't arrive, Rick stated to the waitress that I didn't get my pancakes. She said to him...." She didn't order that." That was an unusual response, I thought.

Just an odd day of observations I guess.

I have such a full week and it keeps on going. I hope it will be a restful weekend. Next week is another full one. Just have to take it one day at a time.

I liked this sticker on a doughnut bag we got on our trip. All Day Long!.....Really?..... K~

All in the perspective....

Aaahhh..... South Dakota seems so long ago. It doesn't seem possible that we were there lest then a week ago. The first day of school is OVER!! That was a tough one. The second seems to be a little more settled. I hope it is a good sign of what is to come.

In regards to my close photographs, I have ZOOM on my camera. However, the animals were VERY close. A little too close. They were crossing the road, etc. I asked Rick if the truck got gored, would he write on it with permanent marker "gored by a buffalo!" .....I would.

We were in Yellowstone 10 years ago fishing in a stream. One adult male (huge) came between us and the stream bank. We were pretty nervous and stood very still. Ever since then, I prefer being in a vehicle at least, and some distance if possible. And aren't Prairie Dogs supposed to carry the Bubonic Plague or something horrid like that??

I finished my South Dakota tribute in colors bookmark. I am just working on beading the top. I will post it when I am done. I did like cross stitching. I did most of that when I lived in South Dakota oh so many years ago.

I am now busy keeping up with the house and being "Caroline Ingles". I think getting back to the Prairie helped me realize that doing 6 loads of clothes in one day WITH a washing machine and not a rock is quite easy and doable. I also realize that spending one night in an unbelievable windy area, in a tent, is just one night and not months or so.

Hitch up the wagon Caroline, we are going to move homesteads again.....Ok dear.

Getting CLOSE to nature....

When we were on our trip we saw so many different animals. It was quite special. They were so close too!

Rick and I have a joke we say to each other. It came from our trip to Yellowstone in 1996. People were so stupid. They would get so close to any animals: moose, grizzles, bison, etc. We said to each other, "the next time we look they will be riding them" ......Well that's how we felt this time too, except, the animals themselves were so close to us, we COULD ride them!

These are 2 of my favorite shots. Of course the Buffalo... How majestic. If you look close below and to the left of his horn, you can see his eye. And I love that I got the Prairie dog walking. It is kind of an odd shot. You don't see this too often. K~

Custer State Park

Going Crazy at "Crazy Horse". It is neat to see this. It is the same as the last time we saw it about 10 years ago. I suppose it takes a while to carve out a mountain. No this is not a rock. It is our first Buffalo sighting. He was adorable. He just sat there in the weeds. He looked up once in a while and then he would just sit there. He was one of many to come. K~

"Get me off this log!"

Our trip was so fun. It was much better then we expected. Due to the weather, we ended up doing the trip in reverse.

We started out a bit rough. Turns out sleeping sitting up with 5 people in a pick up is not much fun or restful.

Pour little S (4 years old) woke up about 2 am and said

"Get me off this log!"

You know that it is not so cozy when a sweet little 4 year old says that.

We ended up staying up and driving on and off, most of the night. It was pouring rain all the way across SD.

We decided to go to a hotel in Rapid City first and then Custer St Park, followed by the Badlands. We made it to Wall SD at about 11 am, Sunday. We had a nice lunch. It was raining quite heavily. D had his first Buffalo burger. He loved it. After a quick look around we were off the the hotel and indoor water park. That was restful and enjoyable.

After a quick stop at Hobby Lobby to get some crafts for the road, we were on our way. Very relaxed after that stay and ready to start our camping adventure, we headed out.

(Notice the spent baby bottle and the inhaler stuff and several Tamagotchi -if you have to ask what that is, you don't have kids between 6-12- on the dash board).

More tomorrow. K~
