The Grandkids!

Oh Dear. This is just a great shot of the 8 Walsh Grandkids. Notice how C (10) is the only kid looking at the camera without being goofy. I laughed and laughed at the series of shots I tried to take. This was one of the best one!

Scramble. Rest.

Bing says it all.

The holiday is summed up in 2 photos.

Scramble.

Rest.

I hope your holiday was great! Ours was nice. A bit different with my mom and dad in Arizona and Janet, Lutz and Niko here from New York. It was nice though and I really enjoyed the holiday.

For Lisa.

Harper......Isn't he adorable! K~

If only.....

This is a very rare moment at the Walsh household.
Bing usually spends breakfast time in the kennel.
Bing is thinking, "If only some would accidentally drop on the blanket. I am going to sit here and blend in with the scenery. Then pounce when the timing is right, well, at least right for me."
He looks innocent now, but seconds later, he just pounces. He would take a huge mouthful and run if we let him.
D's leaving the bowl very unprotected and vulnerable, not very smart prey mentality. That's why mommy's have to be there to protect their babies.

Sigh.....but maybe not.

Well the holiday blues have hit me at the Walsh house.

I hate change, it is so hard!

and boy has there been change around here.

In the past few months, my mom and dad moved to Arizona permanently, Our neighbors of 14 years just moved away. Parents are getting older, kids are getting older, prices are going up, and time is getting shorter. I just feel a bit overwhelmed.

Not all is grim, however. I have so many blessings that it is hard to keep track of them too. My sister in law, nephew, and brother in law have moved here from New York, Mom came to visit, Lisa came to visit, Ted (our neighbor that moved) will be home with his family for the holidays, the kids are just getting smarter and smarter and taller and taller!! Bing is just awful but cuter then ever (so we are keeping him :-) All the rodents have died now!! YEAH!!! No more stinky rodents, now that's a great Christmas gift.

Christmas shopping and crafting is mostly done. Now for the sorting, wrapping and mailing. Christmas letter and card is finished. Just need to stuff, post and mail. I have not taken a nap since last Sunday, this is good because I sleep my afternoons away and then that does not help with the time crunch.
I just want to stop and take a rest. Maybe today I will take a rest with Bing. He is so warm and cuddly. That would feel good for a bit.

Then, back to the festivities!

I hope all of you are finding joy in this joyous season.

Happy Birthday Jesus!!

What a difference a year makes

C and her flute teacher.
Boy, what a difference a Year can make. C did her first flute recital on Saturday. She was fantastic!! And most importantly, she was happy. We are just so proud of her sticking to what she found so challenging but loved.

C's all dazed and confused

Monday night, I was watching "The Song Remains the Same". Led Zeppelins Concert movie. C was getting ready for bed and I asked her to come and see my favorite band on TV.
She came in and I think from the start she was very confused. She had kind of a "what do I say about this" look.
Then Robert Plant has a part in the movie where he comes to a shore, gets a sword from a woman, run and walks around looking very sexy, and eventually rescues a princess.
C- didn't know what to think. Mid way through the song, She said "I thought movies were suppose to have a point." My response was "Oh honey, there is a point. He is walking around and riding around looking good and then eventually rescues a princess."
After the song, she said she needed to go to bed (a big first at my house).
Once she went into bed, I told her that there was a 20 minute song on now, did she want to come watch it?
She said "really? Do I have to?" I smiled and said of course not,I'm just kidding honey.
Not much of a Led Zeppelin fan, I guess.

Robert Plant looking sexy on a ship and then a horse. Does there need to be more to a movie :-)??

Led Zeppelin reunited in London on Monday.

What will I be when I grow up???

Every now and again (pretty much everyday all day and night), I get all worked up and wonder "How am I going to make money for our family, AND enjoy what I do. I would love to sell my crafts. I know that is a dream. I have done craft shows, and have done well, but, I really don't know if I can do that for a living. Not so interested in that. ANYWAY. I ramble on. I just needed to brainstorm on this a bit. Sounds like it's time for a mind map! K~

Moving slow

I have been moving a bit slow this week. In and out of my arm splint. I can go most of the day with my ace bandage only, then, do too much, and I need to wear my splint in the evening. My hand looks mostly normal now and I am hoping to be back to "normal" by mid week or so. I even moved a couch, scraped ice windows on my van and folded some clothes today.

I have been cross stitching. I figured I could work my way up to doing a few rows.

I watched a 4 hour movie last night, MOBY DICK. OK that was an ending that didn't need to take 4 hours to get to. I only watched it because Rick is reading the book. I hate to know the ending, because he doesn't. I hope that the 1000 page book is a bit more interesting. Because, seriously to get to the end of that and find out that's what happens.....man!

Anyway. Here is a completed gift. All ready for Christmas. I also finished one more too. I don't have photos of that. I better go splint up my arm! K~
